DIRECT HIRE
PURPOSE & SUMMARY:
In this position, you will need 5-10 years of previous MANUFACTURING Production Supervisory experience to lead of team of 3 to 5 machine operators to help each other and work hard. This is not a warehouse and recent work experience as a warehouse leader, supervisor or manager will not be considered. In this role, you will ensure smooth operations and timely production output, while understanding to operate the resin impregnation equipment in accordance with our guidelines. Even temperament and get job done attitude. Must be able to troubleshoot machine issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
2 available shifts: 2nd shift: 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. Or 3rd shift: 10 p.m. - 6 a.m.
In August - both will go to a 12 hour 2-2-3 shift from 6 P.M. - 6 A. M.
Hands on Management of a small team of lead and support operators
Must be able to learn to fix several different types of issues that could occur on machines
Interface between Production Planning and in-house Sales and Shipping department
Manage material usage and flow including booking processes in Wespa and later SAP
Control of production parameters
Plan, monitor and execute material inventory
Continuous improvement of production processes in conjunction with the respective department
Independently take ownership in strict adherence to quality standards and requirements
Machine setup according to specified production instructions, using a given set of fiber glass and other raw materials.
- Preparation of resin mixes and foils in accordance to production instructions
- Independent assurance of quality requirements, before, during and after a production run
- Careful observation of the running production to detect malfunctions at an early stage
- Correction of minor malfunctions and support for major repairs, as well as pointing out irregularities to your supervisor.
- Maintaining order and cleanliness of the workplace, as well as care of technical equipment, machines and systems for safety and quality reasons
- Packaging and documentation of the goods according to the applicable requirements
- Shift handover with focus on clear communication and a continuously running machine
- Foresight in production to plan ahead and prepare materials utilizing the entire shift team.
ESSENTIAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Polite overall demeanor with all colleagues
Good command of the English language, verbally and in writing
German preferred to communicate technical and other issues with HQ.
Other essential skills and qualifications:
Mechanical, Electrical or Textile qualification and training records
SAP and Wespa user knowledge would be great, but not essential
